Ask a Native: Maria Menounos: Massachusetts

The Medford-bred Access Hollywood correspondent reports on her Massachusetts must-visits.

ON HER BAY STATE “FOOD ROTATION”
If I had absolutely no time, I’d have to hit a Dunkin’ Donuts and a Brigham’s. With a little more time, I’m going to Bob’s in Medford for a steak-and-cheese sub. I’d also have my best friend bring me breakfast in the morning, and it would be a “B Boy” – basically, egg, cheese, and ham on a sub roll – from Jim’s Market in Medford. It’s so amazing; you can’t replicate it.

ON THE VINEYARD
My life is about red carpets and always looking great. You know what I loved about Martha’s Vineyard when I visited there about two years ago? The fact that I didn’t have to dress up. It’s really low-key and very quaint.

ON BOSTON NIGHTLIFE
I like that you can walk into the Liberty Hotel on a Friday and the entire place is rocking; everywhere you look, it’s a party.

ON THE GREAT OUTDOORS
I love the Public Garden in Boston. It’s a place I used to go to clear my mind and relax. I like playing with the squirrels, and I just like sitting and watching and walking around. I also love Marlborough Street in the Back Bay. It was a street I’d always walk down and say, “Someday, I’d want to live here.”
