WOMEN MAKE UP A RECORD-HIGH 39 percent of the class entering Harvard Business School this year. Great, right? Actually, the numbers for both women and U.S. minorities over the past decade have been pretty flat. “We make decisions the old-fashioned way, one application at a time,” says Dee Leopold, HBS’s admissions director. “Our process is thorough and complete.” And seems to yield similar results year after year.
