image JOHN WOLFSON, EDITOR
John Wolfson is currently in his second stint with Boston. He was a writer and an editor at the magazine for more than four years before leaving in 2008 to become the editor of Summitas.com, a website dedicated to wealth management, philanthropy, and lifestyle. In the past, he has worked as a staff reporter at the Seattle Times and the Orlando Sentinel, and his writing has appeared in the New York Times, Wired, Legal Affairs, Middlebury, Consumers Digest, and other publications.

image CHIN WANG, DESIGN DIRECTOR
Chin Wang comes to Boston magazine after working eight years at The Boston Globe, mostly recently serving as design director of the Sunday magazine and the Globe's daily features sections. She also launched and art directed Fashion Boston, a glossy monthly fashion magazine. Wang's work has won numerous awards from Society of Publication Designers, Society of News Design, Communication Arts, and Print. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.


PATRICK DOYLE, EXECUTIVE EDITOR
As the executive editor of Boston, Patrick Doyle edits the magazine's long-form narratives and oversees the digital department; he also writes on politics and urbanism. Previously, he worked for seven years at 5280, Denver's city and regional magazine, finishing his tenure there as the senior/digital editor. Doyle's freelance writing has appeared in Men's Journal, Skiing, Mountain, American Cowboy, and Philadelphia. He received his B.A. in psychology from Villanova University, and studied as a fellow at the Knight Digital Media Center's 2011 Web 2.0 program at the University of California, Berkeley.

DONNA GARLOUGH, EXECUTIVE EDITOR
Before taking over as Boston magazine's executive editor, Garlough was the food editor, the editor of the recently redesigned Boston Weddings — it was all about the cake, she says — and she contributed to Boston Home and New England Travel magazines. She has also worked as a home, style, and beauty editor at Martha Stewart's Body + Soul magazine, and has cowritten and edited a book on green living for National Geographic. A rabid fan of cookbooks, stinky cheeses, and home renovation, she is currently planning her third kitchen-remodeling project in four years. Her B.A. comes from Cornell University, where her most valued course was Hotel Administration 430, or Introduction to Wines.

BRITTANY JASNOFF, MANAGING EDITOR
Jasnoff began her magazine career at Boston, where she started as an intern and eventually moved into the role of assistant managing editor. Now managing editor, she helms the production of Boston and its branded magazines and also writes for all four publications. The Boston University alum and Philadelphia-area native currently lives in Brookline.

COURTNEY HOLLANDS, SENIOR EDITOR, LIFESTYLE
Courtney comes to Boston magazine after a four-and-a-half year tenure at Boston.com and the Boston Globe, where she headed the EPpy-award winning Things to Do section online and contributed regularly to the lifestyle sections of the paper and to the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine. Before that, she worked for WickedLocal.com and covered government and crime for the Patriot Ledger. She also interned at Rolling Stone (ask her about touring with Good Charlotte in Australia). Courtney prides herself on random knowledge of Boston's neighborhoods and nightlife, and when she isn't writing or editing, she's probably shopping, running, at a concert, or drinking craft beer.

JANELLE NANOS, SENIOR EDITOR
Janelle joined Boston in 2011, returning to the city where she got her journalistic start. In past lives, she was Special Projects editor at National Geographic Traveler, where she developed multi-platform projects that spanned both the print publication and web, and was also a reporter for New York Magazine, where she covered everything from nanny surveillance techniques to 9/11 conspiracy theories. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, The Washington Post, Slate, Marie Claire, The Village Voice, Forbes, and Mother Jones. She lives in Cambridge with her husband and has a rocket ship in her backyard.

JASON SCHWARTZ, SENIOR EDITOR
The Newton native joined the Boston magazine staff in the summer of 2007. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied history and wrote for the student newspaper, the Daily Pennsylvanian. His writing has also appeared in the Boston Globe, the Patriot Ledger, the Pennsylvania Gazette, and New Jersey Monthly. Additionally, Schwartz has fond memories of the 1996 Final Four UMass men's basketball team and a soft spot for former Celtic Dino Radja, if anyone would care to discuss.

RACHEL LEVITT SLADE, HOME DESIGN AND SENIOR EDITOR
As the editor of Boston Home Slade draws on her experience as a designer and writer to show how the best homes in Massachusetts are not just beautiful, but also skillfully reflect their owners' unique lifestyles. After getting her master's in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, she worked at the award-winning Boston architecture firm Leers Weinzapfel Associates. Five years into her architecture career, though, she realized that scouting great projects was more fun than designing them. Slade, who lives in Brookline and Maine, is also an avid bicycle commuter and yard sale junkie.

KAITLYN JOHNSTON, DIGITAL EDITOR
Kaitlyn comes to Boston magazine by way of Pittsburgh, where she was the online editor of Pittsburgh magazine while simultaneously graduating with honors from Duquesne University with her Master of Science in Media Arts & Technology, concentrating in web design and development. A news junkie, she writes in AP and Chicago Style almost as much as she writes mark-up and programming languages. Kaitlyn writes the Boston Daily Feed and blogs about news, tech, and other headlines she finds especially share-worthy.

MATTHEW REED BAKER, RESEARCH AND ARTS EDITOR
Before joining Boston in June 2007, Baker was an associate editor at ForbesLife, where he ran the research department and wrote about arts and travel; a staff writer at media watchdog Brill's Content; and a researcher and copy editor for such publications as National Journal, Rolling Stone, and Rick Steves's travel books. He earned a double-major B.A. in English and Philosophy from Yale University and an M.S.J. from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. He eternally thanks his parents for taking him to see foreign-language art films by age 5, the hallowed galleries of MoMA and the Uffizi by age 10, and David Mamet plays by age 12 — and for letting him play his Sonic Youth and electric Miles Davis records in the car as a teenager.

SHANNON FISCHER, ASSOCIATE DIGITAL EDITOR
Shannon comes to Boston magazine after too many years at the lab bench topped with a stint in science and medical writing at Boston University. Before she went into journalism, her focus was on behavioral psychology and neuroscience, topics she continues to dabble in on her weekly posts for Boston Daily.

CASEY LYONS, ASSOCIATE EDITOR
Raised on the Connecticut shoreline, Casey Lyons recently returned to Boston for a second stint after a half-decade exploring American byways and getting a proper education at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. Lyons spent a few years reporting on the ins and outs of 40Bs in the Boston suburbs, and maintains an active interest in high places with tremendous views. His work has appeared in Backpacker, Mother Jones, and Tufts magazines, and various newspapers, and he has won awards from the New England Press Association, the Kansas City Press Club, and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.

LEAH MENNIES, ASSOCIATE EDITOR, FOOD
Leah Mennies joins Boston magazine after spending a year covering the local food scene for NBC's lifestyle site The Feast. Her writing has appeared in The Improper Bostonian, The Boston Globe and Blackbookmag.com, among other publications. She also interned at Lucky Magazine, where she learned the high art of lugging garment bags around town in the pouring rain. She prefers beer to wine, icing to cake and Hebrew National hot dogs to Fenway Franks (sorry, guys).

ANNE VICKMAN, ASSOCIATE EDITOR
Vickman came to Boston in 2008, and has written for the Boston Phoenix and the Boston Herald, as well as several Colorado publications including 5280, the Boulder Weekly, and Denver. Before joining Boston, she earned a graduate degree from Emerson College, where she was also the art editor for Redivider: A New Journal of New Literature and Art. Vickman has also worked for Real Simple, Coastal Living, and Sunset.

LINDSAY TUCKER, ASSISTANT MANAGING EDITOR
Lindsay Tucker comes to Boston by way of Emerson College, where she earned her Master's degree in publishing and writing and was the editor at the renowned public radio station 88.9 WERS. A music and culture junkie, she's also a regular contributor to Premier Guitar Magazine, and helped launch the daily discount site Scoutmob in Boston.

ALYCE JONES, ASSISTANT ART DIRECTOR
Alyce Jones arrives from Washington D.C., where she was associate art director of The Washington Post Express, a free daily newspaper. Jones oversaw the Friday feature section. She also launched and was art director of Fashion Washington (FW), a glossy monthly fashion magazine. She is a graduate of Ohio University.


LIZ NOFTLE, DESIGNER
After contributing as an art associate for Boston in 2009, Liz Noftle joined the magazine as a designer in the fall of 2010. The New Hampshire native earned her BFA in studio art from the first undergraduate program sponsored by both Northeastern University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. When she's not out exploring the city, Noftle enjoys drawing in her studio, cooking up new recipes in her kitchen, and enjoying the sunshine on her rooftop deck.


SCOTT M. LACEY, PHOTO EDITOR
Scott applies his experience as a Boston-based photographer to his role as photo editor for Boston magazine. His education includes studying editorial and advertising photography at the New England School of Photography, and fine art and design at the Art Institute of Boston. Scott is a life-long Boston-area resident, avid sports fan and self proclaimed grill master. Follow @scottmlacey.

CORBY KUMMER, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR
Food critic Kummer is the former restaurant critic for New York Magazine. A past winner of the gold, silver, and bronze medals for food and dining criticism from the City and Regional Magazine Association, he is also a senior editor at Atlantic Monthly and writes about restaurants for Departures magazine. He is the author of The Joy of Coffee.
