The 2007 Best of Boston issue has finally hit the stands, with more than 125 food-related categories, from Best Al Fresco Dining (Oleana) to Best Wedding Caterer (East Meets West). Consider this your road map to all of the best eating in town. And I really do mean all of it. A few days ago, I did a radio spot on WRKO’s Tod Feinburg show (along with our stellar features editor Sacha de Gersdorff) to talk about the awards. One caller complained that our restaurant winners were all high-end spots, far too expensive for his budget. “What about the $10 places?” he asked.

To that I offer the following:

1. Our Best Fenway Frank award goes to The Lower Depths Tap Room, where the hot dogs are $1 and the draft beers come cheap.

2. The award-winning bar menu at Pigalle, where the most expensive dish is $18 and the rest cost less than $15.

3. At Boston’s Best Spanish restaurant, Toro, you can order delicious braised chicken and faro in rich tamarind and citrus broth. For $10.

4. Boston’s Best Burger, at R.F. O’Sullivan & Son in Somerville costs a whopping $7.95.

That’s just a sampling of the delicious, affordable fare we’ve found for you.
