With Gone Girl set to open on Friday, Ben Affleck and company are neck-deep in promo appearances. In the film, based on the bestselling novel by Gillian Flynn, Affleck plays Nick Dunne, a man who may or may not have killed with wife Amy, played by Rosamund Pike.

Of course, with a premise like that, none of the actors can really reveal a gosh darn thing about the plot of the movie. That means this week, for us, is all about the funny banter.

After appearing on some morning shows Monday, Affleck was a guest on the Tonight Show to chat with Jimmy Fallon about Gone Girl, Derek Jeter and Big Papi, schooling Tyler Perry on R&B, and Frozen.

Two great things happened on the Tonight Show:

1. After Affleck complimented Derek Jeter, he maintained his devotion to Papi and the Sox by saying that no greater player will ever emerge than Jeter…at least from the Yankees. He then suggested that when David Ortiz retires, the Yankees would pay tribute to him the same way the Sox paid tribute to Jeter—this comment even attracted some boos from the audience.

2. Ben Affleck sings “Let It Go” from Frozen. (Badly.) He does so while explaining that his elder daughters have passed along an obsession with the movie to his son—none of the kids care about Batman. His son idolizes the “Let It Go” rendition by Jimmy Fallon and Idina Menzel, so he makes his dad also sing along. And then, it happens:

“So I’m just like, ‘Let it gooo, let it gooo…’ And now he started being like, ‘No Papa, do it like the man (Fallon).’ I was like, ‘First of all, I’m your father, OK? Jimmy Fallon’s not the man, I’M THE MAN!’ (……… Batman.)”

Watch that clip above. Below, watch the other half of Affleck’s appearance on the Tonight Show.

Tuesday night, Affleck will appear on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where they may or may not discuss football and Argo vs. Rosewater.
