It’s been less than a week since Boston Calling wrapped up its final installment of the year, but the music festival already has its eyes set on 2016.

Boston Calling’s organizers announced on Thursday that the bi-annual concert event will be coming back to City Hall Plaza for Memorial Day weekend on May 27, 28, and 29.

While the lineup up for the upcoming festival hasn’t been announced yet, fans should be in for a treat if it’s anything like the one featured at the spring 2015 show. Beck, Tenacious D, and My Morning Jacket were just some of the big names who came to Boston last Memorial Day weekend.

The most recent Boston Calling, which took over the city on September 25-27, was also a super fun show as bands like alt-J, Of Monsters and Men, and Alabama Shakes all brought their A games while rocking out at City Hall Plaza.

The festival’s fall installment also featured a rare appearance of a supermoon lunar eclipse, however, don’t expect to see another one of those at a Boston Calling until 2033.

Expect an announcement for the spring 2016 lineup later this year.

An early bird pre-sale for three-day general admission and VIP passes starts Friday, October 2 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at bostoncalling.com.

Update Thursday, January 14 at 10:08 a.m.: Boston Calling has just announced its full lineup for the May 2016 show, which you can check out here.
