After taking a backseat to Matt Damon’s algebra-solving janitor in Good Will Hunting, Ben Affleck is finally getting a turn at playing a math whiz, but with a twist.

Warner Brothers released the first trailer for The Accountant on Thursday, and Affleck’s latest role looks pretty intense.

According to Deadline, the Boston-bred star plays a talented but obsessive CPA whose practice is actually a ruse to cover up his accounting work for underground, criminal organizations. Things turn violent when one of his legitimate clients starts looking into the books, forcing Affleck’s character to break out the guns.

So it’s basically like if Will Hunting was in The Town, sans the Boston accent.

Since the The Accountant also stars Patriots Day actor J.K. Simmons, the film will give fans a small taste of what to expect from the chemistry between Batfleck and Commissioner Gordon, who Simmons will play in the upcoming Justice League movies.

Rounding out the cast for The Accountant are Anna Kendrick, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey Tambor, and John Lithgow.

Directed by Gavin O’Connor, The Accountant hits theaters on October 14.
