Forbes recently released its 2016 list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities and a number of Boston stars made the cut.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife Gisele Bündchen joined Matt Damon and Ben Affleck on this year’s list, which ranks the top 100 highest-paid celebrities from around the globe based on their pretax income from June 2015 to June 2016.

While the collection of notable locals made big bucks over the past year, combined, they only narrowly out earned Taylor Swift, who topped the list with $170 million. The four Boston stars who made the cut took in a combined $172.5 million.

Damon earned the biggest paycheck out of all the notable Bostonians, as The Martian actor came in at No. 30 on Forbes’s list with $55 million. Brady was the second highest paid local, landing on the list’s No. 54 spot with $44 million.

Patriots fans are probably a bit perturbed over the fact that Giants quarterback Eli Manning ranked higher than Brady on the list, coming in at No. 52 with $45 million. Manning can keep the million bucks, though, as we all know that Brady has a few extra Super Bowl rings that are priceless.

As for Affleck, he was out earned by both his best friend and his favorite athlete, as the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star came in at No. 58 with $43 million. Surprisingly, Forbes reports that this was Affleck’s highest annual paycheck to date.

Bündchen just barely made the list, earning the No. 99 spot with $30.5 million due to her high profile fashion sponsorships.
