The world of television has been good to these Massachusetts stars.

Forbes released its list of the world’s highest-paid TV actresses this week and several local celebrities earned spots on the rankings with their big paydays. Coming in at No. 3 is Cambridge’s Mindy Kaling, who raked in $15 million between June 2015 to June 2016 thanks to her salary from The Mindy Project as well as her high profile book deal.

Earlier this year, Kaling made a statement about Hollywood’s pay gap, telling the crowd at the 41st Gracie Awards that “no man” on her show makes more than her.

“For years and years, the role of the lead actress on a sitcom was to do two things: look amazing and to make one-third of what my male co-star makes,” Kaling said. “So I want to be clear, I do always look amazing on the show, and no man on my show makes more money than me.”

Former Newton resident and Quantico actress Priyanka Chopra made her first appearance on the list this year, taking the No. 8 spot with a cool $11 million. The debut is especially impressive considering she edged out veterans like Veep‘s Julia Louis-Dreyfus to land in the top 10.

Rounding out the collection of Bay State stars is Grey’s Anatomy actress and Everett native Ellen Pompeo. Her $14.5 million payday tied for fourth place with Law & Order: Special Victims Unit‘s Mariska Hargita.

Modern Family‘s Sofia Vergara came in first for the fifth year in a row with a whooping $43 million. Meanwhile, the No. 2 spot went to the Big Bang Theory‘s Kaley Cuoco, who earned a solid $24.5 million.
