The first trailer for Jackie, the upcoming drama about Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, was released this week, and the film looks like it will take audiences on quite the emotional rollercoaster.

Oscar-winning actress and Harvard University graduate Natalie Portman stars as the former First Lady in the biopic, which covers the aftermath of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination as well as the demise of his so-called “Camelot” presidency.

“Don’t let it be forgot, that for one brief, shining moment, there was a Camelot,” Portman says as Onassis in the trailer.

Jackie is poised to make a splash this awards season as critics praised the film following screenings at this year’s Venice Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival. The movie currently has a “fresh” rating of 95 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, which called Jackie an “alluring peek into a beloved American public figure’s private world.”

Directed by Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín, the film also stars Caspar Phillipson as JFK, Peter Sarsgaard as Robert F. Kennedy, Max Casella as Jack Valenti, Greta Gerwig as Nancy Tuckerman, and John Carroll Lynch as President Lyndon B. Johnson.
