Ben Affleck wants to make sure that the fine people of New Hampshire cast their ballots on November 8, so he teamed up with Funny or Die for a new video urging Granite State residents to register to vote.

The actor went full New England for the hilarious clip, laying on a thick Boston accent while dressed in his best down vest and flannel shirt. Affleck says he’s adored the Bay State’s neighbors to the north ever since he was a “baby Pats” fan, and thinks of its residents as family, kind of like his brother Casey.

“I’m from Boston and Boston is in New England, which means that New Hampshire is just like my kid brother,” Affleck jokes in the video. “I love New Hampshire.”

After namedropping notable New Hampshire locales like Mount Monadnock, the Batman v Superman star goes on to explain all of the reasons why New Hampshirites need to register this election cycle. Affleck says the country will fall under a curse if people don’t go out to vote and, as a hardcore Boston sports fan, he doesn’t take curses lightly.

“Seeing as how this election is a bigger disaster than the New York Knicks, the people from New Hampshire are going to have to register to vote,” Affleck says. “Otherwise this whole damn nation is going to be cursed.”

“I don’t talk about curses,” he adds while briefly breaking the scene. “That’s not funny. This is supposed to be funny. There’s jokes, and then there’s curses.”
