Huskies are in for a treat this fall as Northeastern University is bringing Amy Poehler to town for this year’s homecoming.

The former Parks and Recreation and Saturday Night Live star will put her Boston College loyalties aside for one night to speak at Matthews Arena on Thursday, November 10. Meghna Chakrabarti of WBUR’s Radio Boston will host the discussion with the notable Burlington native.

As per tradition, Northeastern’s Council for University Programs announced the evening with Poehler via a humorous, student-made video.

Unfortunately, only undergraduates, alumni, and other members of the Northeastern community will be able to purchase tickets to the event, which go on sale Tuesday, November 1, at 9 p.m. So if you want to see Poehler in person next month, track down one of your Husky pals and convince them to take you as a guest.

The Emmy Award-winning actress is the latest A-list star to appear at the university’s annual homecoming. Trainwreck comic Amy Schumer spoke at last year’s big event, while other previous headliners include Kevin Spacey, Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Russell Brand, Sarah Silverman, and Donald Glover.

An Evening with Amy Poehler, $25-$35, Thursday, November 10, 8 p.m., Matthews Arena, 238 St. Botolph Street, northeastern.edu.
