Expect to see a few more furry animals than usual at the Prudential Center on Wednesday night.

The shopping center is hosting a special photo night with Santa where people can bring their pets into the Pru to snap a picture with jolly Ol’ Saint Nick. The event is in partnership with the Northeast Animal Shelter, a local nonprofit that’s noted for being one of New England’s largest no-kill animal shelters. The organization has found homes for more than 100,000 cats and dogs since opening its doors 1976.

Pet owners who would like to participate in the holiday photo night must pre-register for the event online. Unfortunately, only cats and dogs that are on leashes will be allowed to participate in the festivities, which take place between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Participants are also required to purchase a photo package, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Northeast Animal Shelter. Pet owners are being asked to enter the Prudential Center via the Huntington Arcade entrance by the Cheesecake Factory and are required to leave the building following the event, meaning no holiday shopping with your pets.

$19.99+, Wednesday, December 14, 6 p.m.-8 p.m., Prudential Center, 800 Boylston Street, Boston, prupetphoto2016.eventbrite.com.
