When: Available May 1 through June 29, 2017

When’s the last time you stopped to smell the roses? If you’re having trouble recalling, consider spending an entire weekend doing just that. The Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge has just rolled out a new spring package for folks yearning to explore the pretty petals of Western Mass.

Called the Bloomin’ In the Berkshires package, the special invites guests for a two-night stay at the inn. It includes tickets to the Berkshire Botanical Gardens, daily breakfast, and cocktail vouchers to enjoy on on the inn’s front porch.

To round out a flower-filled weekend, pick and choose from a long list of horticultural pursuits. Some of the most impressive gardens in the Berkshires are a short drive from the inn. Check out Naumkeag House and Garden, a Gilded Age estate in Stockbridge, Bartholomew’s Cobble, a National Natural Landmark in Sheffield, the Hebert Arboretum in Pittsfield, and the Mount, author Edith Wharton’s former home in Lenox. On your way back to Boston, hit the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in South Deerfield to stand in awe of almost 4,000 butterflies.
