Here’s a Photo of Robert Downey Jr. Making A Child Cry Because He Is NOT Iron Man
This little tot was in for a rough awakening after learning Robert Downey Jr. and Iron Man are different people. Plus: an update on shooting locations for Downey’s The Judge.
This little guy, 18-month-old Jaxson Denno from Western Massachusetts, had every intention of hanging out with his invincible hero Iron Man when his family learned that Tony Stark would be around his neighborhood. But what did little Jaxson Denno get instead? Just some lame ordinary guy named Robert Downey Jr.
Needless to say, Jaxson was beside himself when he learned that Iron Man had showed up without his Iron Man suit. This priceless picture that Jaxson’s mom snapped of Downey looking more than confused has been circling the Internet yesterday and today.
“He was fine as soon as he talked to him,” Jaxson’s mother, Heather Denno, told People magazine. Jaxson “was so confused,” according to Denno. “Because I kept telling him it was Iron Man and he knew it wasn’t. Well, not Iron Man in the suit.”
Downey has been in Massachusetts throughout the month of June shooting his new movie The Judge. The film is a dramedy about a lawyer (Downey) who comes home for his mother’s funeral to discover his judge father is suspected to be her murderer. Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl), Vera Farmiga (Safe House, The Departed), and Billy Bob Thornton (Armageddon) are fellow costars in the film.
Reports have shown Downey shooting in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, last week. Shelburne was temporarily turned into the fictional town of Carlinville, Indiana, for the movie. According to Masslive.com, Downey was spotted with the cast and crew at Smiarowski Farm Stand on Route 47 Wednesday afternoon.
OnLocationVacations.com reports that The Judge will be shooting in Western Massachusetts until June 18 and will then move shooting locations to the Boston area. OLV also has a detailed account of where the film was shooting in Shelburne and where they are expected to be within the next few days.
Take a look at these local tweeters who caught Robert Downey Jr. on set, having fun with some kids, and clearly looking his prime:
