The Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program announced they are organizing a benefit event titled Mission Gratitude, a concert that will raise funds to heal Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families from the “invisible wounds” of war‚ÄĒreferring to post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries. Mission Gratitude is the largest benefit concert in New England supporting wounded soldiers.

Mission Gratitude will be held on September 23 at Symphony Hall, and several big artists and performers will help raise these funds for soldiers. Performers include comedienne Sarah Silverman, country artists The Band Perry, Big & Rich, and The Henningsens, Saturday Night Live alum Darrell Hammond, The Voice season 3 winner Cassadee Pope, recording artist Angie Johnson, and singer Rita Wilson.
