Would kids rock a press release on gun control on their iPods? Of course! Such is the wishful thinking at City Hall, where Mayor Menino is recording his new Citycasts (cityofboston.gov/citycast). The first installment features a dash of Menino (his voice cut straight from a press conference), rhymes by a local hip-hop group (though probably not enough of them), and a big helping of an NPR-style monotone narrator (boring!). Don’t expect iMumbles to top local playlists.
