The Pot Luck Club

A frothy tale of love, relationships, and a very valuable chamber pot.

By Andrew Rimas

Over the years, Cambridge author Medwed has developed a following for her light novels about Ivy League women and their romantic difficulties (Mail, The End of an Error). Her latest effort plunges us into the dust of Cambridge's antiques shops, following the fortunes of an attractive antiques dealer after she inherits Elizabeth Barrett Browning's chamber pot. Love and lawsuits bloom and tangle, Sex and the City references come quick, and sentiment abounds, as it should in a novel so fluidly referencing the English poet. A perfect read for women who like Victorian furniture and very sweet tea.
