Though we've often praised its creative Persian cuisine, Lala Rokh is worthy of an even more important award. This year we decided to recognize Beacon Hill's favorite ethnic eatery for what we really love best about it: the quality of its service. Adept at explaining exotic menu items without making their clientele feel stupid, the staff members are attentive without being obsequious, engaging without being invasive, and professional without being unfriendly. In a town with restaurant service generally not worth raving about, we're pleased for the supremely civilized experience at Lala Rokh.
