Best of Boston 2002 Restaurant, Romantic, Affordable
Dalí
|
There's a reason for the wait for a table (forget one hour; two is more common) on Saturday nights—and it isn't just because the restaurant doesn't accept weekend reservations. Simply put, Dalí is an aphrodisiac. The sultry tapas built for sharing, the solid wine list, and the tangy sangria all conspire to make this Somerville enclave a lovers' magnet. Then there's the mood-mellowing dark lighting, the decor's bravado, and the pheromone-stimulating music and noise. Romantic? On one recent evening, even the waitress got into the act, her momentary dalliance (with a waiter) a brief lapse in the generally attentive service.
