Atasca serves delicious plates of traditional regional dishes such as cataplana (seafood and prosciutto cooked in a copper steamer) and bacalhau (dry salt cod). Fill up on a sampling of the succulent small plates like the lulas a alho, an incredibly tender sautéed squid dish with plenty of garlic and perfectly cooked polenta, or the grilled linguiça with pineapple. But save room for entrées like the tender plate of sautéed pork medallions. This cozy one-room hideaway with barely a dozen tables is accented by folk paintings, colorful ceramics, and a brick hearth.
