Best of Boston 2003 Wedding Caterer
The Catered Affair
|
No matter how much time she spends in the weeks prior to the wedding deciding on the ratio of strawberries to blueberries for garnishing the cake, your average bride doesn't want to pass anxious hours on her wedding day itself fretting over a late delivery of napkins. That's where Holly Safford and her team at the Catered Affair step graciously onto the scene, with taste, panache, and, above all, split-second timing and organization. They proudly bill themselves as being more than a catering service. And when you understand the sheer effort that goes into the lighting, flowers, and table linens, you'll agree. The food itself is far from your standard dry chicken in some anonymous sauce. Instead, it includes such lovelies as native-lobster-and-avocado cocktail and rack of lamb in Provençal mustard-thyme reduction.
