This state Audubon Society sanctuary encompasses 350 acres of forests, fields, and salt marshes. Two miles of trails wind through the property, and Sengekontacket Pond acts as a barrier along the eastern shoreline. The area is also one of the best bird-watching spots on the Vineyard. Head here for a day away from the island's crowded towns.
