The outer façade may be stately, but inside, this Exeter inn's nine individually decorated guest rooms are decked out with over-the-top curtains and fabrics. Guest amenities include fireplaces in most rooms and complimentary bottles of port in all of them.
Review
We were told they were booked solid and had to take a lesser room. We found many nicer rooms vacant, but the owner continued to lie and say they were full until we caught her on it.
Room was dingy, and bed very uncomfortable.
Owners do nothing to make you feel welcome and are more concerned with their rules. Front of house completely peeling of paint, breakfast is only at 8:30am (sharp!), and does not include all that is advertised. They say they are the #1 inn in Exeter...that's because they are the only inn! Posted by Cindy: Sep. September 6th, 2011 at 4:39 PM
