The museum at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence is packed with collections as eclectic as the college's famously artsy students. Spend a couple of hours exploring its five buildings, including the new, much-buzzed-about Chace Center. Forty-seven galleries house 84,000 objets d'art, from the ancient (Greek sculpture, sarcophagi) to the contemporary (Warhol, Lichtenstein).
