Your long day of corporate drudgery is over. Get out and enjoy the city! Here are a few ideas to get you started, lovingly picked by Boston Daily.

Nintendo hosts the Mario Kart Wii Driving School this evening on City Hall Plaza. Make our day and stop by, Mr. Mayor.

Last week, Gov. Deval Patrick hinted that his casino legislation may make like Lazarus and rise from the dead. We applauded him for suddenly having the courage to kick House Speaker Sal DiMasi while he’s down (politics, hooray!).
But an unlikely party is pledging to tack the casino proposal onto the Senate’s budget as an amendment.

A couple of weeks ago, we declared that journalism was over when the AP came up with the headline “Powdered cocaine not just for white yuppies anymore.” But now we realize that our declaration was premature. Today’s Herald features a story about our favorite Celtics rookie Glen “Big Baby” Davis and his dedication to well-manicured hands.

Boston Daily just got back from a press preview of the spacious Boylston Street Apple Store, which opens tomorrow at 6 p.m. The Fenway Park-inspired facade has been removed, revealing the controversial three-floor glass building that is the largest Apple Store in the United States.
Apple Senior Vice President of Retail Ron Johnson said a few words about the store’s design and educational offerings, and then made way for Mayor Tom Menino to enthuse about the new store.

Last week, we argued against rushing to judgment on John Tomase, the Herald beat writer assigned to the Patriots, until the facts from the Matt Walsh Spygate testimony were in. Well, it’s judgment time.
Today, the Herald apologized for Tomase’s Super Bowl walkthrough tape story in the form of front and backpage headlines, and a three-paragraph retraction. Clearly this is no ordinary mea culpa. You may recall, there wasn’t this much outrage when the tab owned up to printing a piece of satire about Hillary Clinton and Dick Cheney as straight news.

You know you’re going to have a rough day when the Globe has so much coverage about you that they can run it under one headline. House Speaker Sal DiMasi gets the treatment this morning as the broadsheet reports on the continuing saga of Richard Vitale’s lobbying work and reveals that the Speaker was receiving death threats during the heated casino debate.

Mayor Tom Menino isn’t the only politician in the city who’s excited for Bay State Bike Week. Our MySpace friend and Boston City Councilor Mike Ross is also participating by leaving his car in the garage and commuting by bike from Mission Hill to City Hall. He gave us his thoughts on how many hazards bikers face, the unforeseen issues that came up, and tricks to keep your suit looking nice in your backpack.

Your condensed guide to today’s daily papers.
Journalism is hard: The Herald is forced to eat crow for the second time in a month, this time acknowledging that John Tomase’s story that claimed the Patriots taped the St. Louis Rams’ 2001 Super Bowl walkthrough was incorrect. [Herald]
