I wish Jeff Lawrence would leave. All of the editors have been good to great, Jeff, with his snap decisions and desire to fire made the publication a total mess. He's managed to push away all the talent, sell out the magazine, put the design in the toilet, and lose a bunch of interest in the Dig.

Between Keohane's comic angry genius and that truly wonderful cover art direction, it was a great paper. Then the look of it went sharply downhill at the same time Brodeur was writing such strained editorial pages. The old one was so integrated and great, including Brodeur's writing. Too bad, short lifespan.

There is no way all the changes had anything to with Brodeur (Mike?). It certainly has the smell of Jeff Lawrence all over the crappy design and weird ad placement. The writing never changed just a hell of alot of confusion about what this paper is?!

The Dig days are over and there is no one in Boston that does not know it (or really care for that matter).

As an outsider, it was tough for me to tell how many of the changes that took place under Brodeur's reign originated with him or with the paper's management. Whatever direction the Dig goes next, promise me you'll give Thorpe and McMorrow whatever they want...

Brodeur sucked bigtime!!!
The Dig went downhill ever since he took over the steering wheel - it is about time he got fired!

I wish Joe Keohane would come back...

Brodeur's a fine editor. Edited plenty of my extraneous bullshit out of the paper, bless him. Did a nice job holding Beer Advocate magazine together through most of that time, too--you might have mentioned he was editing two papers at once, Flannery.

Also, who the hell is "Mike"?

I'm only voting for Media Farm if it gives me back the Halloween costume it borrowed last year and then was sick in.
