Taking you around the internet for your afternoon enjoyment.

1192127554We demand a recount: BostonNOW reports that 40.2 percent of Eastern Massachusetts residents rated the MBTA as “excellent” or “above average” in a poll. The survey was conducted before last Friday’s transportation meltdowns and the unveiling of T radio, so take it with a grain of salt. [BostonNOW]

Condos 4 Sale. Cheap: After only one-third of its units sold, Station Landing in Medford is auctioning off 30 units for reduced prices on November 11. Bargain hunters, rejoice! [Boston.com]

Because you’re worth it: One-third of women’s lipsticks have levels of lead that are higher than federal regulations allow. Most women don’t have to worry, but if your daughter plays with makeup, you should introduce her to the wonders of gloss. [WCVB]

Reason 4,597 for the Sox to win the World Series: Red at Surviving Grady gets the furniture he bought earlier this year at Jordan’s for free. Win it for the microfiber couch, boys. [Surviving Grady]

    Amy?

    I ride the T, in the times I come to Boston, whenever I have Red Sox Tickets @ Fenway Park:

    The Ride on the Green Line(B,C, Or D) to Kenmore is pleasant & allows me a chance to experience a form of transport, not available in either Queens, where I live, or Brooklyn, where I was born & raised;

    It’s changing from the Red Line @ Park Street, where it can be rather-unpleasant, as, in my experience, that outside of Fulton Street in Lower Manhattan, it is the Steamiest Station in Boston. It’s the 1st Place, in either NYC or Boston, where I’ve seen Giant Electric Fans, for drying out or attempting to cool me off. Park Street makes for a great Sauna;

    Then, there’s the Shutting of The T, from 12:30AM to 5:00AM, which makes it difficult to enjoy a Cold One in the Bars by Fenway Park, after a Night Game. Then again, the Pubs are so-crowded, after games in Fenway Park, which is WHY I call it the Best Place to Party After a Game;

    Michael
