Police Blotter Fun
As a public service, we recap the droll commentary and surprisingly stupid criminals that make the crime reports required reading.
We’ve noticed that a lot of college women don’t quite understand recent fashion trends. The racks at H&M are filled with tunic-length garments that are meant to be worn with tights or leggings, but some young women are wearing them bare legged. With one wrong movement, nothing is left to the imagination.
Maybe that’s what happened to Ashley Thrasher of Foxborough.
Boston Police gleefully report on Ms. Thrasher’s night out in a post titled “Thrasher’s a Flasher”:
At about 1:12am, on Sunday, November 4, 2007, officers from Area A-1 (Downtown) observed an individual exposing her buttocks in public. Officers observed the individual repeatedly raise her dress while walking along Commercial Street. Her flashing caused a disturbance and annoyance to several pedestrians lawfully present in the area. As a result, officers arrested Ashley Thrasher, 21, of Foxborough and charged her with Indecent Exposure and Disturbing the Peace.
We support the officers of the Boston Police Department in their quest to prosecute crimes against fashion. Now that they’ve arrested one woman for flashing her ass, we hope officers will continue to canvass Commercial Street, Lansdowne Street, and the Alley for the women who violate the law every Saturday night. Keep it to yourself, ladies.

Thank you! The tunics are marvelous because they make short people (uh, like me) a little taller, but the tights or leggings are a must. Who wants a breeze swirling around up there?
