It’s holiday rush time! Just in time for the beginning of the Christmas travel weekend, Logan experienced heavy delays yesterday that are affecting today’s flights. But now the Logan-related delays aren’t limited to the tarmac. Channel 5 reports that the Ted Williams Tunnel is closed due to a crash.

Oh come on.

The Ted Williams Tunnel was closed Friday afternoon after a cement truck hit a sign.

Westbound traffic is being diverted to the Sumner Tunnel and Route 1A.

We’d express our relief that we’re taking a train to our holiday destination, but even that isn’t running as smoothly as we’d like. Maybe we’ll hedge our bets and start walking now.
