		<description>It sounds wrong, but honestly, it's something they really do need to do. Pretty much all the stations I use (davis sq, porter square, downtown crossing, south station) bear the hallmarks of the "deferring maintenance" that Grabauskas describes. While it's cheaper short term to skimp on maintenance, it's also generally  more expensive to fix something that has gone into severe disrepair than it is to keep it maintained. I think a lot of the stations fallen into pretty bad disrepair at this point, and it is probably a bad idea to let them go farther</description>
