You’ve endured long lines at the polling place. You’re probably going to wait for an eternity to grab your free scoop of ice cream at Ben and Jerry’s. After all that hardship, you’ll want to get your drink on.

We ran down several events yesterday afternoon, but there are plenty of others. Frustrated Cantabrigians (and all other 21-plus adults who RSVP) can enjoy complimentary drinks and half-price appetizers at Om Restaurant and Lounge.

Drinking Liberally will host an election night party at Mantra, and the Middle East celebrates hip-hop we can believe in with live performances from Akrobatik and others at Barack the Vote. If you’re a conservative, it’s probably best if you watch at home, since our local drinking establishments are largely in the tank for Barack Obama.

Unless 2008 becomes the new 2000, we should know who the next president will be in the morning. We’ll see you then.
