Ms. Sweeney;
Thank you for your very informative post. My name is Farshad Sayan and I am the owner of Clevergreen Cleaners, which you so kindly mentioned in your post. I wanted to take this opportunity to further elaborate on the information you provided. In regards to hydrocarbon, the methods used to clean the garments can significantly reduce or eliminate the risk to the environment and the amount of resources and energy that's being consumed in the process. In addition to the mediums used in dry cleaning such as hydrocarbon, it is also important to look at the spotting agents, additives and detergents used by your cleaner, which if not chosen well, can do further damage to your health and the environment. No chemical is 100% safe for everyone all the time, so if you are at all unsure, ask. You can find additional information regarding green cleaning on our website at www.clevergreencleaners.com, and we welcome those interested to an educational tour of our dry cleaning plant.
