Barry Turkanis,
THE CONCORDIA

Barry Turkanis grew up in Swampscott and lives in nearby Marblehead, where he heads up his small, family run investment management firm. Though he technically retired in 2004, he devotes a large amount of his time to this newer venture, investing in a variety of companies, including those in his hometown. His business expertise is qualified by his numerous years as a leader in the industry, including 16 years at Goldman Sachs in both Boston and New York, as well as a law degree from Boston College. Barry currently serves on a variety of local charitable boards and foundation committees.

Paradise and Turkanis have been working closely together over 5 years, but have had a business relationship for far longer—Paradise built Turkanis’ Swampscott home 12 years ago. Both are thrilled to be working on a project inspired by their hometown to benefit the community.
