The sleek lounges at chef Dante de Magistris's namesake venture fill early with beautiful people sipping creative (and thankfully not overly sweet) cocktails and nibbling on alluring, if slightly pricey, “tastes” such as the mini clambake, which comes with an andouille sausage corn dog, and melt-in-your-mouth gnocchi, similar to the gnocchi that made de Magistris a draw when he cooked at Blu. The small plates are also available for sharing in the restaurant, with its outdoor patio and panoramic skyline views. But save room for entrées, which for once are as good as the starters—try the succulent guinea hen—and desserts such as the heavenly and very grownup ginger float. Note: The restaurant is closed weekdays 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m. On weekends, it's closed 11 a.m.-noon and 3-5:30 p.m.
