We wish chefs Gabriel Frasca and Amanda Lydon would come back to Boston. But their move to the Straight Wharf on Nantucket to cook together (they’ve been a couple for years) is almost poetic. And as the landmark restaurant turns 30, these thirtysomething chefs have made it better than ever. Some things remain the same—the harborfront dining room is still classic, and the menu is still dominated by seafood—but the pair's skill and star power will no doubt trump the bar as the reason to go. Signature touches from past gigs including Spire (Frasca) and Ten Tables (Lydon) show up in dishes such as an appetizer of zucchini blossoms with lobster and sweet tomatoes spiked with saffron; a three-basil salad with marcona almonds and chardonnay vinegar; and the Straight Wharf clambake, a brilliant presentation of buttered lobster, sweet corn, chorizo, and littlenecks. Note: The restaurant closes between 2 and 5:30 p.m.
