A Moxie Makeover in Beacon Hill

Since 2005, Boston fashionistas have been flocking to 51 Charles Street for the city’s chicest accessories at Moxie. The cozy boutique — which well suits its equally-as-cozy neighborhood, Beacon Hill — is now bringing in the fall season with a new look.

Owner Karen Fabbri teamed up with Koo de Kir, which also worked on Moxie’s Wellesley location, to update the already feminine, flirty store with a new sophisticated style. The biggest changes are the updated lighting, which makes the gorgeous shoes, boots, and bags even more desirable; the seating, an ode to the Wellesley store’s clean, contemporary and very purple design; and the freshly painted walls of gold, white, and of course, Moxie purple.

All in all, the store has a much better flow and gives off the vibe that you’re somewhere special, especially with the new fall collection of accessories from designers like See by Chloe, Frye, Pour la Victoire, Nanette Lepore, Delman, and B Brian Atwood. Moxie loves fall, and this season, the store’s definitely on trend with rugged-chic boots and glamorous, ladylike pumps. “Every woman needs a go-to pump that makes her feel sexy, strong and in control,” Fabbri says. “Boots are great but this fall is pump season, people! Take a cab!”

If you haven’t yet seen the store, head to the Hill (in a cab, if need be) and check out Moxie — your now-even-better destination for fall’s most fabulous accessories.
