This Thanksgiving marked the 46th anniversary of Lombardo’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for seniors and those in need. Lombardo’s served a four course Thanksgiving dinner to 700 local seniors and people in need from greater Boston and the South Shore communities. The dinner was hosted in the Grand Ballroom and featured dinner and dancing from 10:30am–1:30pm on Thursday, November 23, 2017. Over 90 volunteers attended to help set up and serve the dinner.

The annual day of giving started at the original Lombardo’s location in East Boston in 1971. This year, they served the same famous penne pomodoro, along with all the traditional Thanksgiving fixings. “My grandfather always told us no one should be alone on Thanksgiving and it was his mission to provide a place and dinner for those who would not have any other place to go. I am grateful that we can continue this tradition in his memory,” said David Lombardo, General Manager and 4th generation of the Lombardo Family.
