On November 2, 2017, visitors at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum were treated to an evening of dance. Inspired by the Gardner’s exhibition, Henry James and American Painting, choreographers Jean Appolon, Ida Saki, Richard Move, and Yury Yanowsky presented new works that addressed topics ranging from political and cultural refugees to voluntary and involuntary exile to gender transience. The evening wrapped up with dancers, choreographers, and the audience mingling over cocktails and light bites.
