Check out scenes from the November 4, 2017, event benefiting Room to Grow.

On November 4, 2017, over 300 community leaders came together to flashback to the ‘80s while supporting low-income families in Room to Grow’s program. With gifts totaling more than $375,000, a significant step was taken towards unlocking the potential of more babies in Boston. Room to Grow provides families with parenting education, connections to community resources, and all the toys, clothes, books, and gear babies need during the first three critical years of development. This unique combination of support is transforming the lives of hundreds of babies being raised in poverty in our community. Michelle Wu, Boston City Council President, introduced Room to Grow’s Client Honoree, Tiara Murphy, who shared the impact the program has had on her and her son: “I never planned to raise a child alone or to face so many challenges, but sometimes life doesn’t go as planned and you need a hand up. Today, I’m proud to be able to say that I have confidence as a mother, provider, and leader.”
