Celtics fans can actually look kinda cool this season in fan apparel.

Last fall, Converse released a limited edition NBA Chuck Taylor All Star Collection that featured sneakers for each 30 teams. There were three different styles: “Gameday” made from authentic jerseys, “Legend” was the luxe style with leather and intricate embroidered details, and “Franchise” had logos embroidered on the tongue and screen-printed team names. If you missed out on those collections and still want to represent your team on your soles, a new NBA Chuck was rolled out this month. Called “City Edition,” it pays homage to the six older teams in the association, the Cavaliers, the Warriors, the Lakers, the Knicks, the Rockets and of course the Celtics.

Converse looked to their archives for inspiration; the Celtics sneaker is a Chuck 70, the iconic high top from the 1970s, adorned with the team’s logo from the 1980s. The distressed color adds to an overall vintage feel.

Maybe the next best best thing to bringing back Bird.
