For Travel Bags
With wanderlust running high this time of year, you’re going to need a bag to stash your stuff. Led by designer Alice Saunders, Somerville-based Forestbound sells an array of locally made canvas totes and carryalls, each handcrafted with vintage textiles.

Just in time for steamy afternoons spent poolside or on the beach, swimwear company Faherty brings its unique line of trunks, bikinis, and one-pieces to Newbury Street. The New York–based retailer, which opened its Boston outpost in late March, stocks printed suits that come in a range of styles and are even eco-friendly—the company’s signature fabric, a polyester blend, is made from recycled plastic bottles.
Must-Buy: “Santorini” one-piece swimsuit, $168.
121 High St., Boston, 617-338-7200, lunetteoptic.com.
Covering up those baby blues on sunny days is more than just a fashion statement: It’s a necessity. Luckily, Lunette carries frames from a number of popular designers (think: Oliver Peoples and Ray-Ban), making it easy to find a pair that complements your style. The opticians at the Financial District shop can outfit your new frames with prescription lenses, too.
