Festival of the Dead

Dates: Now through November 1

In Salem, the adults have more fun than the kids. The mystical town keeps Halloween howling all month long with events like The Brimstone Chronicles walking tour, Ghost Hunting 101, the Psychic Fair and Witchcraft Expo, The Vampires' Masquerade Ball, an authentic seance, and the Dinner with the Dead. By day, it's suitable for the kids, and by nightfall, it turns into a fantasy playground complete with vampires, temptresses, and other sites best left to adult video.

Tip: Be sure to take the commuter rail, since parking is sparse and the traffic is killer.
