Sweetgreen on Boylston Street is an organic salad shop founded in D.C. that offers salads, grain bowls, frozen yogurt, and fresh pressed raw juice. But you know that already. The place is always, always packed with health conscious locals (and since it’s smack dab in the middle of the Pru and Copley, lots of tourists, too).

The health-focused “fast” food restaurant is staying true to its healthy roots by offering the Sweetgreen “Passport” which is free fitness classes with our city’s most popular instructors. The program started in November and will continue this month.

For December, there are two classes on the calendar (so far). First up is “Holiday Body Cardio Pilates” with Ali Baldassare. The class is a 60-minute cardio and Pilates fusion, featuring cardio drills, mat Pilates, and innovative core exercises designed to challenge, strengthen, and tone the whole body. The class is Wednesday December 4th at Equinox on Franklin St. It will even have a live, local DJ (Kupah James) to keep you moving and sweating.

Next up is the “Lift, Tone, Burn Winter Warmer” at Pure Barre on Newbury Street. Barre classes are known to help lift, tone, and sculpt your entire body into shape. The 60-minute class is Sunday, December 8th from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you’ve never been to a barre class, be sure to bring a pair of socks with you (for barre, we like the sticky-bottom kind, but any pair will do). Although the class was built with ballet in mind, you don’t have to look like a ballerina to enjoy the burn.

Sign up or waitlist early; these free classes fill up fast.
