Locally Made, Healthy Foods on Display

BodyScapes fitness is offering a 'Healthy Snacks Roadshow' to bring the Commonwealth's healthy startups under one roof.

Boston is home to some amazing health food startups like Biena Foods, which creates these tasty chickpea snacks in flavors like barbecue, sea salt, honey roasted, and cinnamon maple. There’s also Rae Foods, a dairy-free mini muffin company created by a Jamaica Plain mom. The muffins are perfect for kids because they come with stickers and have names like the “Mr. Rabbit” which is made with carrots, applesauce, and flax seeds.

These foods, and many more, will be on display Saturday and Monday at BodyScapes Fitness, where they’ll be hosting the first-ever “Healthy Snacks Roadshow” to highlight locally made healthy goods (and promote their own gym, of course.) Other local brands that will be available for drink and taste tests are: Cocomama, LifeForce Juice, Hint Water, Sidehill Farm, Blossom Water, The Ripe Stuff, Granny Squibb’s, and Jo Jo’s Raw Kitchen.

BodyScapes is also opening a CrossFit box that will feature the latest equipment, changing rooms, lifting platforms, a Reebok retail store, and free parking for members during class time.

Pre-opening specials are available, which includes a free three month gym membership upstairs at BodyScapes Fitness, 1285 Beacon Street, Brookline, bodyscapesfitness.com
