Adidas launched the official Boston Marathon collection Monday as the company celebrates its 26th year as the official and exclusive footwear and apparel supplier of the Boston Marathon. Even though other sneaker companies launch limited edition Boston Marathon shoes, Adidas is the only official sponsor in this category.

To commemorate the 118th running of the world’s most prestigious road race, Adidas unveiled the 2014 Official Boston Marathon collection including the iconic Celebration Jacket ($110). Departing from last year’s blue hue, this year’s garments are bright orange with blue trim that Adidas is calling, “Solar Zest, a high visibility orange.”

The jacket features a slim fit, adjustable drawcord, side zip pockets, stand-up collar with an anti-chafing lockdown zipper, raglan sleeves for a full range of movement, lining for maximum ventilation and moisture management, embroidered Boston Marathon logos on the back and left chest, and a “Boston Runs as One” logo on the back collar as a tribute to 2013’s race. It’s currently available for purchase online and will also be for sale at the John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo April 18th through the 20th at the Hynes Convention Center. Adidas reps say that a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to The One Fund Boston.

The collection also includes tights, shorts, tees, tanks, and pullovers.

Adidas supplies the exclusive Boston Marathon jackets to nearly 10,000 B.A.A. volunteers and more than 3,500 race officials. Approximately 36,000 runners, which is 9,000 more than last year, and the largest number of participants in nearly two decades, are registered for the 2014 race.
