Sweetgreen Is Offering More Free Fitness Classes

As part of their 'Passport' program, you can try some of Boston's hottest classes for free.

The popular, health-minded “fast food” restaurant that offers organic salads, grain bowls, frozen yogurt, and fresh pressed raw juice is continuing its free fitness classes over the next few weeks. This round will feature some of Boston’s newest entries into the fitness scene, including the popular Barry’s Bootcamp and Flywheel Sports.

Yoga at Ombe Integrative Health Center

Instructor Sara Packard is teaching this morning yoga class for all levels. Bring your own mat, or you can borrow one from the studio. After an hour of salutations, you’ll all head over to Sweetgreen to sample their seasonal soups.

Barry’s Bootcamp 

The self-proclaimed “best workout in the world,” combines 30 minutes of interval-based cardiovascular routines on treadmills with 30 minutes of strength training using free weights, resistance bands, and medicine balls. The class includes full locker rooms with showers, a protein shakes bar, and free towel service.

Cardio Sport at Healthworks Back Bay

This 60-minute class is a combination of compound sports-related movements with music, cardio drills, muscle bursts, and more. Bring your sneakers, wear workout gear, and get ready to sweat. Please note: Ladies only!

Thursday, March 6; 7: 30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; 441 Stuart Street

Flywheel 

This 45-minute indoor cycling workout offers stadium-style seating, custom-made bikes, and curated playlists by an in-house DJ. Flywheel is no ordinary “spin” class. It’s been referred to as a “spin class on steroids” so be prepared to be sweaty profusely after just a few  few minutes. Towels, water (BYOBottle), and indoor cycling shoes are provided.
