Bill Belichick Ran a Half Marathon

The Pats coach spent his Saturday in Nashville at the St. Jude Country Music Half Marathon.

Longtime Patriots head coach and football genius, Bill Belichick, ran the St. Jude Country Music Half Marathon in Nashville Saturday with his girlfriend and Style Boston TV presenter, Linda Holliday. Holliday posted the below picture to Instagram showing the couple running side-by-side.

According to the event’s website, “Bill Belichick from Hingham” finished the race in 2:36:46 at an average pace of 11:58. His 5K time was a respectable 33:58.

“Linda Holliday from Hingham” also finished the race in exactly 2:36:46 which means the pair stayed together, stride-by-stride, for the whole race. (Aw.)

Runner’s World recently reported that the half marathon is the fastest growing race in popularity in the country, with almost 2 million people completing the 13.1 mile run in 2013.

The 62-year-old Belichick, who was born in Nashville, tells The Tennessean:

“It was a great run,” Belichick said. “I came out to support Linda (Holliday) in her hometown race for her first half-marathon.”

Your move, Patriots players. Hope you’re keeping up with your off-season workout program. Your coach sure is.
