Free Yoga in the Park in Worcester

Classes will be held at Elm Park in Worcester through August.

Practicing yoga with your child is all the rage, as evidenced by Gisele’s Instagram feed, which showcases her baby’s yoga skills. But yoga is even better when it’s free. Worcester is getting in on the gratis fitness action with free yoga in the park every Saturday through August 13. This program is unique in that its open to everyone in the community (ages 0 to 90+), and all experience levels are welcome.

Presented by Ivy Child, a non-profit that develops mindfulness-based, health education programs for children and families in hospitals, schools, and in the community, the free yoga classes will be led by local (Metrowest) registered yoga instructors.

According to Ivy Child, in the 10-week program, participants will learn diverse yoga and meditation styles to strengthen, rejuvenate, and relax the body and mind.

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and to bring their own mats or blankets. Classes cancelled due to rain/weather will be announced on the Ivy Child Yoga in the Park event page.

Classes are every Saturday from June 14 to August 23; 10 a.m.to 11 a.m. at Elm Park, 284 Highland St., Worcester. For more information email skoay@ivychild.org or call 985-228-3956
