Tufts Floating Hospital Selected For ‘Cups For Kids’ Campaign

The hospital is one of five in the Northeast to benefit from the Cumberland Farms program.

Cumberland Farms has selected Tufts Floating Hospital for Children to be one of five recipients of its August Cups for Kids fundraiser. The fundraiser benefits pediatric care programs at hospitals in the Northeast.

The Rhode Island-based company will donate five cents from every iced coffee or Chill Zone beverage sold at select locations to the participating hospitals, which also include Albany Medical Center, Barbara Bush Hospital in Maine, Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

“We are so grateful to be a beneficiary of Cumberland Farms’ annual Cups for Kids campaign this year and to partner with such a beloved local brand,” Tufts’ interim chairman of the pediatrics department Rashed E. Durgham said in a statement. “We hope that Massachusetts communities will come out to support this wonderful fundraiser as the funds will go directly towards our efforts to treat cancer, heart disease, and provide other life-saving care for children.”

To celebrate the launch of the month-long fundraiser, a special event will be held at Fenway Park on July 30 for patients and family members from the participating hospitals.
